Hand delivery option is not available. You have to send it either by Post or Courier. If you woiuld have sent it today morning (by next day gauranteed delivery( you would have chances but that is not the case. Better send it via Royal Mail om Monday morning by Special Delivery.

Though I haven't done this personally, but you could go in-person to the Courier delivery address in Durnham to handover the application. This is out of the ordinary though.
If time is not a constraint then DHL does offer a Same Day service but I think you have already tried this option.

Date of postmark is considered as dispatch date of application. Even if you dispatch it on Monday morning before (10AM) your application is in time application. And keep the receipt safe.
So I think there is no need to going to durham.

Thanks every one,
I have received invalid form bak from home office on friday, it was invalid based on photograph ground.
I am now running out of time and I want it to get delivered on Monday 10 AM at any cost. I am ready to go Durham. I want my fee to be deducted on Monday.
As per DHL online quote they can deliver by the end of day or next day. 9AM 10 AM or 12PM service is not available for post code DH97 1PA.
Tried TNT they said they do only business to business, FedEx no reply as today is saturday, seems they are closed.
Any advise or suggestions will really help. Can anyone confirm if wecan go and handover? any past experience?
Regards
SK

Do you appreciate what they actually do in Durham? All they do is ensure that payment is made for the application, before passing the application and any accompanying papers on to a "real office", where the application is properly considered.
So not sure what you are trying to achieve rushing the application back to Durham. As already said, for a visa application, the date of posting is the date of application. Send by Royal Mail Special Delivery, if you want, for delivery by 9am the next day.
But if you despatch by courier, be aware it is the date the letter arrives at its destination that counts as the date of application, not the date you hand it to the courier.

Thanks Guys!
John, chetanojha I really appreciate suggestions and informations you provided.
I was just going through form and came across that online statement printout and certified by bank is only acceptable for online accounts.
I have current account and I have taken printout and certified by bank for past one months transaction, for rest two months I have real statement. This is for Maintenance fund.
Since initially I applied on 30th July and I provided statement upto 10th July. Now my application is invalid and I received last friday I do not have time to order latest statements. Therefore, I printout and got it certified by bank.
Is it acceptable?
Regards

IMPORTANT!
For courier and Royal mail special delivery - The day the HOme Office recieves the delivery is the day they record as sent.
SO if DHL delivers on teusday then it would be out of time eventhough from your side you sent it on monday.
Use normal 1st class recorded delivery to send it on monday

For Royal Mail -- Despatch date is considered.
For Courier -- Received Date is considered.

Incorrect!
Royal Mail dispatch date is always taken as date of application irrespective of it being sent by 2nd class, 1st class or Special Delivery (9am or 1pm). Have got this confirmed by HO. This is also evident if you look at the two addresses - The 'PO Box ...' address is used exclusively by Royal Mail to accept post. Everybody else, i.e., Courier companies, are given the physical address for delivery.
Hope this helps.

Refer to the below extract from Guidance notes Page 9, Point 43:
For applications made in the UK:
• Where the application form is sent by post, the date of posting; or
• Where the application form is sent by courier, the date on which it is delivered to the UK Border Agency of the Home Office; or
• Where the application form is submitted in person at a Public Enquiry Office, the date on which the application and associated payment is accepted.
For applications made outside the UK:
• The date that the fee associated with the application is paid and the applicant’s biometric details taken.

Cant be sure on that , but one of my friend had applied to extend his visa a day before the biometric info was required. It was delivered by special delivery
on the day the new rule came into effect and as such he was required to attend HO for biometric appointment. Upon inquiry he was told that special delivery is considered as courier by HO hence the appointment.
UNLESS he sent his application to the courier address.
however, If someone has got it confirmed by HO then it should be fine.

For applications made in the UK:
• Where the application form is sent by post,the date of posting;
Special Delivery
is one form of the post! It is delivered by Royal Mail, just like all the other post.
