Hi Batley Khan- As you know im a student studying my final year at university. Is the maintenance grant classed as a public fund ? I have checked on the ukba website and there is no mention of education or educational funded grants in the public funds section.

please advise
You are right, it is not considered as a public fund.

Dont forget its got the highest numbers of views, on a subject on the whole of the forum, in excess of 200,000 .

Well folks, I am going to take a break for a while, whilst I busy my self in rememberance of Allah taala, as the blessed month of Ramzan has started from Saturday here in the UK.

I will pray for all of you that Allah unites you with your loved one soon inshallah. This is the blessed month where Allah grants all your wishes, so pray and remeber Him and will reward you inshallah.

I am going to pray for Desperate Wife in particular ( as I have a soft spot in my heart for her and I miss her and her good side of her sense of humour)and hope that she does get her visa so she can join her husband. I have seen her despair and what it can do for you when it involves matters such as this.

Likewise those that I have helped and advised in some small way, I ask that you remember me in your duas.

I will still log in and make the odd few comments. Please try and avoid sending me personal messages as my inbox is nearly full, and I dont want you to be offended if I dont respond for the above reason.

See you soon inshallah.

Hi all,

Ive sent my wife's visa appeal on the 24th July 2009. Its now 23rd August 2009, 1 month tommorrow. I sent the appeal to Bhc U.K. On the 12th August i E-mailed them and they confirmed they have recieved the appeal and it was going to be processed in due course. How long will they take to give me a reply does anybody know???

Thanks.

RAMADHAN MUBARAK TO ALL

I have recently heard if an applicants TB test expires whilst there application is under process, then they are contacted by VAC to collect their passport so they can renew the TB test and return the passport with the new certificate.

Has anyone actually experienced this?

Baz

Hello Bazzy_1,
Yeah they can do this as well. Not on this forum but on other forum I know minimum 2 person who faced this and on one case they take almost 5 6 months to process the case (it was allowed appeal) and after 6 months they returned the passport saying TB certificate is expired so please submit with fresh one.

Kash

Yeah Kayaniii , you are right and this is the most stupid thing one reasonable person can think ever. Thats why It’s advised that one should submit recently taken TB test while resubmitting their passport. Else again waiting game TB test, Appointment and again at the end of the queue etc

May Allah Help every one.

Kash

Hello All

I have just returned from Pakistan after a week there with my wife and am now in week 12 of the visa process - so hopefully i will hear something this week.

On my way in a Heathrow i was stopped by the custom officer as part of a routine check they also work for the UK Boarder Agency - mention to him about no reply from email about my wife visa and how alot of people are affected by this ...his advise was to wait until the visa is given and then put in a complain in writing ....he knew that there were issue with the visa processing time.

will let you know how my application is progressing

The WAITING GAME is back on !!

Hi,

A lot of people are waiting on this forum. UKBA advise it can take upto 12 weeks to process the settlement application. But some people on this forum have been waiting longer. My wife submitted her papers 9 weeks ago, emailing doesnt really help unless you have exceptional circumstances. I tried emailing them and they advised me they cannot discuss application details with anyone other then the applicant and normal turn around time is 12 weeks.

Just be patient brother and do dua to Allah in this month of Ramadhan.
Thats all we can really do
Regards,

Baz

Hello guys on one other forum there is suggestions going on to write complain to the BHC visa section by Courier about that long delay especially after appeal allowed. What you people think sending courier to following address

Deputy Director Visa Services
British High Commission
Diplomatic Enclave
PO Box 1122
Ramna-5
Islamabad

After getting that much complains they might speedup the process.

Kash

Hello Bazzy and was794

I think me and Was794 are in the same boat - i applied back on 4th June and i think Was applied on the 12th June ( correct me if im wrong).

Its 59 working days so far for me and its week 13 - so hoping to hear back something this week inshallah.

The application can take over 12 weeks there is no guarantee it will be resolved with in 12 weeks as stated on the site ukvacpk.com

I just got back from Pakistan on Saturday (went for a week) and still waiting for a decision.

Not long now i hope for all off us

Yosh! I applied for my Mrs on 11th June so we're on ... 55 working days!

So good news next week for me and the wife inshallah.

Looked at the stats on the UKBA website and it shows for Settlement Visa's they completed 98% of them within 60 days by the month of July, which I guess is heartning.

Let us know of your good news inshallah this week S4INT!
