If you arrive in UK without job, stay without job, how can you extend your visa? Everything is related with money, if http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBHZFYpQ6nc .

But, it is also true that people came to Europe with ordinary short-term visas, and now they are well established businessmen here. They started absolutely from zero. It depends on that how do you sort out your ways in new situations as and when they arise? You should take one step boldly, you can find place to put your foot for the next one. Look around, keep updated about what is happening, always be positive, never give up, and you will succeed.

You can because for extension HO looks at last 12 month's earning only.

I would say how would you know unless you try?? every ones situation/experiance is different.. you might get a new just after landing or may have to wait for lil longer.. well if you have skill and confidence to clear the interviews, you should be fine.. the decision is all yours.. but one thing is for sure you will have to struggle.....

Depends completely on your personal circumstances and your risk appetite. Talk to ppl in similar profession, find out what kind of opportunities are available. Factor in a worst case scenario and make an informed decision.
