maintainance fund for dependent

How much maintainance fund and for what period of time in bank account is need to be shown while applying for dependent visa of student here from UK under old immigration system existed before 31 March 2009 ?

Well there was no exact maintenance limit like now is in UK Tier4 Visa.

So you need to prove that you have a good maintained account with regular transition.You have funds to pay your fees plus you can accommodate and maintained yourself without resource to public funds.
