Need an appointment for ILR at Croydon

Hey guys

I want to book an appointment for October 2009 for my in-person application for ILR

Tried calling 0870 606 7766 number for Croydon but could not get through

Does anyone know whats the best number and time to get through for an appointment in first week of October ?

Just managed to get through to an operator at Croydon and here is what he said

"All appointments are fully booked until 14th October. We prefer that you apply by post. However if you want to apply in person, date will be after 14th October and you have to keep us calling to find out as soon as new dates are released."

How ridiculous is this? We have to keep calling to book an appointment.

Thought it will be smooth ride but forgot that nothing is simple...

We keep on trying and one day one day we will get there....

If not...what is the wait time for postal application ????

Called in at 8.58 am and managed to get appointment for 15th October at Croydon.

This is 17 days before my work permit expires.

Guy mentioned that they get upto 1000 people waiting on phone between 10 and 10.30 am. So I feel lucky of getting an appointment

Now to the main part of application preparation....Interesting process.

call at exactly 9.00am...you will probably hold on for 15mins but u will be answered...anything from 9.10....very difficult
