Consultant requires address proof before interview

Post by chandu_246 » Thu Sep 03, 2009 8:53 am

Hi All,

I am in UK on TIER1.When I applied for one job, consultant has asked for the following documents..

1) a copy of ONE of the following: Passport / Birth Certificate /Driving Licence(Yes..I have passport copy for this)

2) a document (utility bill etc) confirming your current address.

Right now, I am staying with my friends and so I don't have any address proof.

Not sure what to do...Seniors plz help as the consultant told me that as soon as I provide these docs. he will schedule my interview.

Regards,
Chandra

You may use the same address which you gave for police registration with same proof (or you may arrange some hotel and get a letter from that hotel confirming that you are staying there), and in method for contacting you, provide your email address.

This is bit strange to me.

Have been selected IN the interview or its just initial stages.

A job consultant should not be asking this upfront.

What is your situation in UK??

nileshratan,

I am in the initial stages.

They have sent me the following message in the document required mail.

An agency can be fined if it is found to be representing a candidate for whom they have no supporting documentation so your swift cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
