not possible to know the reference (ACK) number before the letter arrives???

Last time, I had received ACK via email (HSMP days).

It normally arrives within 3-4 days after the payment is deducted. You may want to give UKBA a call and ask them. Sometimes they provide the Ref No. on basis of Surname and DOB.

Old days - golden days..

Your reference letter shd be received in 4-7days time so hold on.. i dont know if the HO gives u the ref no. so easily.. n the waiting time will cost on ur ph bill..
