Thanks to all of you for all the support and guidance . Special thanks to Push, Cheshire for answering promptly all the querries.
I just submitted my application today.
I was on work permit and applied for Tier 1 General. Work permit expring on July 2010
Documents submitted for me and my wife-
Application form
-Photographs 2
-Passports
-12 salary slips stamped signed by employer - 4th Aug 08 to 3rd Aug 09
-12 bank statements Aug 08 - 7th Sept 09
-Above evidence also included the maintenance funds proof for the last three months last date being 7th sept 09.
-Above evidence also included the UK experience
-Master Degree Certificate
-Letter from NARIC covering the Qualifications even though qualification was on point based system
- PDF summary sheet of point based system
Total points claimed - 85
Eng lang -10, Maint - 10
Dependent
Application form
2 Photographs
Passport
Marriage Certificate
Maintenance as a part of main applicants eveidence
Prepaid self addressed envelope
All the above was presented in a presentation folder with covering letter, table of contents and dispatched by Roayal mail (17 pounds including self addressed envelope) today
I just checked with HO YEST for REFERENCE NUMBER ON VISA - I WAS TOLD ITS THE NUMBER NEXT TO THE WORDINGS ENTRY CLEARANCE.
ONCE AGAIN THANKS TO ALL
Now its wait watch and see the next steps.
Though of writing this as it may help someone.

One query, did you submit the photocopies of your bank statment alongwith dependent's application,
or original,
or just mentioned that the same bank statment of main applicant should be used for maintenance of dependent?

Thank you.
Just mention in your cover letter to refer to the bank statements in earning section for maintenance funds. I also put a stick note just in case.

I just gave a pointer to the section in the main applicant. Only one original set of bank statements was submitted for - Previous earnings , UK experience and Maintenance funds.
for every evidence i had put a header on the top followed by evidence.
Salary deposited in the bank that date was highlighted by highlighter . Also the lowest level of funds in the last three months was highlighted which was above 800 + 533 pounds.

No, no, I mean for dependent's maintenance funds need separate bank statements of main applicant or only one set of bank statement is enough for both applications??
