transferring residence card to new passport?

Post by VLong » Thu Sep 17, 2009 5:33 pm

Hello,

My husband just received his residence card (5 years, eea2). His passport will expire in 2011, well before the end of the Residence card. Do we need to transfer it when he gets a new passport, meaning making a whole new application...? Or can we just travel with his old passport and his new one?

Does anybody have an experience of this?

Thanks!!
VL

Yes that's quite acceptable.

Either this (which is perfectly acceptable), or start the whole EEA application process all over again.
