When to apply for ILR

Hi,

I learn that one can apply for ILR 28-days prior to completion of 5-year (non HSMP JR).

1) I entered UK in Oct-2002 had my student visa till 30-Jan-2006.
2) Got my WP in 22-Dec-2005, and visa stamped on 06-Jan-2006.
3) Started working from 16-Jan-2006.

Since technically, I could have started working since issuance of WP ie from 22-Dec-2005 since I was legally staying in UK though under student visa (I think this comes under transation arrangement).

Though too far, can I apply for ILR based on 22-Dec-2005 or 06-Jan-2006 or 16-Jan-2006.

Please share your thoughts or point me to some docs.

I believe that your qualifying period started on 06 Jan 2006. So, you may apply for ILR between Thursday, 9 December 2010 and before expiry of leave.
