Post by freedomofspeech » Fri Sep 18, 2009 4:18 pm

Everyone have got their visas but I am alone in this forum. By the way, I won my appeal (student visa) and submitted my passport on 11th of august at Gerrys FedEx, Khi and waiting for visa stamping. What is your case buddy?

student visa appeal allowed

casa:-

I want to ask a question. On 11 August 2009, I submitted my passport after an allowed appeal to the processing center FedEx, the estimated processing time was given 25 days. As soon as I submitted my passport, after 1 or 2 weeks BHC, Islambad announced some kind of ongoing IT problem. Now it stands at 5 weeks. I tried to call Gerrys FedEx staff in order to know my passport status (since their phone lines were constantly busy),However, I decided to call directly to the British Deputy High Commission, hoping I would get an answer, but unfortunately, their lines were also busy, I have to assume they`ve flooded with applications as well. However, My commencement date is 26 of october and I still have some time.

Therefore, kindly let me know when they will return my passport with visa stamp. Any rough idea?

Thank you

Asalam alaikum Ali. Eid mubarak :D
Unfortunately I can't give you a timescale. There are members who believe the 'IT problem' is an excuse for not being able to deal with the applications efficiently...but I suppose we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
Hopefully there are members who will be able to give you some encouraging feed back.

Do you mean will they grant a visa? If so, Yes if the appeal is successful.
Although I believe the Home Office can appeal against the verdict.
