Plz answer the query about age.

Hello All,

I am thinking for applying for HSMP after getting my master's degree.
When I will get my degree in hand, i would be 28yrs and 2months of age.
So, can this age be considered as 28 or 29? Because, at 28 I can claim 10 points for age and at 29 I get only 5 points.

Just one more quick qun....
We should consider our gross salary or our net salary.
e.g. in my case gross salary is 5 lacs p.a.
but net salary is 4.2 lacs p.a.
So, i should calculate points considering gross salary or net salary?

ok.let me get this clear...letz say if one applies on his/her 28th b day hw much poins wud he/she get? and hw much wud it be if the folliwng scenarios...(assumung inital applications)

1.excatly on 28th b day
2.ONE day b4 28th b day
3.ONE day after 28th b day.

really appreciate ur earliest reply....

See Tier 1 (General) Policy Guidance page 15 of 49

If you are less than 28 years of age you get 20 points

If you are 28 or 29 years of age you get 10 points

If you are 30 or 31 years of age you get 5 points

So to reply to your question, if you apply one day before your 28th birthday you get 20 points and for the other two scenarios you get 10.
