Congratulaions Tom4

Post by mad » Tue Sep 22, 2009 12:38 pm

Hi!

Congratulations Tom4. I am pleased to hear your good news and delighted for you.

I called them yet again today and I was told the following:

1. My application is at an advanced stage of processing.
2. My Garda & Social work report is back.
3. Waiting for one final report. (From whom???)
4. They can't put a time frame on it?
5. They did not tell me if my application was with the minister yet.

I wonder at what stage is my application at? I suspect that its with the minister but I dont know this for sure.
How long will it take from this stage onwards.

My timelines are as follows:

Applied: September 06.
Acknowledged: October 06.
Additional Documents: November 08.
Garda + Social welfare reports: August 09, (Making further checks).
Latest: Application at advanced stage of processing (What does this mean?)

Hi just a question if I avail of a council house (rent 50+ euros a week), would that affect my application for naturalisation.

or if I live in one but somebody is renting it ( just add me as tenant)
would that affect my naturalisation application?

my friend is living in council house and getting fis but hes got his naturalisation approved last year. hes got Irish son and got IBC stamp 4 before, he came here as student like 10 years ago.

ive been paying like quarter of my wages renting with other people for almost 7 years I was just thinking I can save this money for my sons future as well.

my wages is low and my wife is only working on weekends when im off work, we have 1 Irish son. our household income is below the threshold and we can qualify

just want to hear more input from your experiences guys

Because somebody born in Waterford does not have their place of birth as "WAT". Similarly, someone born in Dublin does not have "DUB" in their passport. If such abreviations were used, then no, there would be no discrimination.

I accept that the difference is town and country, but it makes no sense to put DNK instead of Denmark.

EDIT: Quite right nanette, "IRL" is not used either!
I think you'll find that if you look a new chipped passport like ours are you'll find IRL as well.

What has this to do with timeline tracking by the way?

We are talking about the "Place of Birth" section. Doesn't say IRL there.

Nothing, you asked a question and have been given an answer.

Naturalisation...

Post by Want2beEU-Citizen » Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:13 pm

Hi all,

Just want to share my time lines with you guys

Applied based on 5 yr. work Visa

Applied on -->11 jan 2005
Further doc -->22 aug. 2008
Approval letter--> 22 july 2009
Recv. Cert --> 22 sep. 2009

I have question in relation to my child who was born in India, do I need to follow the same process of naturalisation ? or
If child's parents are Irish now , will it follow the process of getting passport on the basis of Irish parents.

Any suggestion or advice will help me.

Regards.

Thanks Mazar for the informative, useful and inspiring comment. As per your usual optimism and knowledge of the worlds immigration systems ,it has been enlightining to say the least. I think everyone here owes you a debt of gratitude. Keep up the good work.

PS- I almost certain that you posted almost the exact same comment a couple weeks back, however the words "INIS brain cancer" or something along those lines have been omitted this time.

I see the forum is getting quieter by the day. This means more and more people are getting their citizenship and probably leaving the forum. I wish all the others myself inclusive good luck. I hope my conclusion is right

Hi! Crown,

I hope you are right but I suspect it's a form of learned helplessness though. I wish everyone good luck with all sincerity.

Documentation for Naturalization application

Post by DingDong » Fri Oct 02, 2009 6:18 am

Hi Guys,

Firstly i am not sure whether i have hit the right place but i hope somebody will help me ,I am new to this forum ,can any one of you please guide me, currently i am on a working visa , and will be applying for the naturalization at the END of this year.
can anyone please guide me with all what are the documentations required for the naturalization application, although i know there is eveything mentioned on the website.

How many P60's are required , do i have to provide 5 years P60's i.e (when then time i got the working visa) previously i have spend 2 years on a student visa, so do i have to provide the P60's for that period as well.

It is mentioned on the application form your date of arrival in the country (do i have to mention the date when i got my working visa, or do i have to mention the date i literally for the very very first time i arrived in Ireland)

Long Form Birth Certificate (not a clue , i know there is form on the INIS website , but what's the procedure i have to follow

If somebidy please guide me alongas i will really appreciate your help

And one thing more should i apply through a solicitor or apply by myself.

Thanks

CONGRATULATIONS HSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I read about EBS's news last night, I knew yours was going to follow soon. Y'all will be relieved now. Looks like most, if not all of the 2006 Cohort are sorted now. Hoping they'll get on with the rest of us 07 cohort now.

........ and one more thing guys, I know you don't have to, but please hang around, it's getting kinda quiet around here lately

Big Congrats and enjoy what is no doubt going to be a good weekend

Peace all.
