I applied for 14yrs long residence ilr based on long residence, marriage to person present and settle in the UK and article 8 of human right act. My wife and kids are british citizens. After a long delay, I wrote my local Mp to find out what was causing the delay with my application. They replied that my application should be decided by the end of 2009. Last month, I received a letter from the HO requesting for;
Evidence of current address[within the last 3months], evidence of co-habitation within the last 3months, 2 unseparated passport photographs and completed immigration status questionnaire to be returned within 28days.
My concern is when I entered the Uk, the citizens of my country did not require visa. I only completed a form at the aiport and I was given one month by the immigration officer. I have lost my passport since then, and I do not have a photocopy.
The HO ask me to complete the immigration status questionnaire and provide sufficient information to help them determine my lawful entry or else, they will assume that I entered the UK illegally (illegal entrant).
What are the implications of this?
Will they be able to find my entry information in their system?
