Can I use my Citibank (VISA) Debit card for payment?

Page 5 of tier 1 form says - • *Debit card - Delta, Maestro** (including
Solo).

Please advice.

Yes go ahead. I have used my Barclays visa debit card and the payment got deducted.

Yes since this is a debit card it is perfectly acceptable.

Yes. Mastercard/Visa credit and debit cards issued by any bank or credit card company are acceptable. Delta/Maestro/Solo cards issued in the UK are acceptable as well.

I called my credit card bank to confirm if they don't decline the transaction from Home office but they said that they can't provide any guarantee as there might be some defaults check in system to prevent fraud. They said that they can't guarantee in advance but will do if transaction decline.
After getting this rude reply i decided to use my debit card instead of credit card, so please other may be caution about using credit card.
I am amazed due to this attitude by the bank???

How about pay by cash:
Page 5 reads:
Cash – but only for applications made at a public enquiry office; please do not send cash by post.
