Passport photocopy?

Post by PounceQuick » Sun Nov 06, 2005 11:05 pm

Hello,

I'm in Australia, what do we need to certifiy the passport photocopy? Usually here a JP signature is enough, not sure if this is accepted for HSMP.

Also one other question, do I need to send my original birth certificate? Or a certified copy will do?

Thanks

There is no need for passport in your HSMP application.

Original documents are required for inclusion in your application.

Don't I have to proof that I'm under 28? One is my Birth Certificate, which I'm fretting to send it away to far flung England. And the other is my Passport. That's what the form indicate, as well as the guide although it's not really clear how important it is to send my original birth certificate and photocopy of passport.

Sorry mate. For under 28, yes a notarised copy of your passport will be handy to prove your age.

Yes so what does that mean? Notarised copy? Do I need to go to the consulate to get them to sign/stamp whatever copy is?

Show your passport alongside with your photocopy and attest to a lawyer so that he/she can prove you're the one/same person.

Can I go to the British Consulate and get them to verify my copy?

OK found out about "public notaries", maybe I can use them

Pouncequick

I just made a photocopy of my international passport and my application was not rejected based on that. Anyway i also had my marriage certificate and other Docs showing date of birth.

This is for over 28 though, maybe they are more particular and stringent about evidence of age for under 28.
