Has no one applied for Tier 1 Dependent visa in the month of Sept 09??? I would request anyone and everyone to contribute the timelines (Applied in India) if they have applied for their dependents.
Its been 7 workings days now for me and the status is just the same...really frustrating wait time...my application is straight forward...at least thats what I think...
kinda bored now waiting for status of the visa to change on VFS website....
Is there a way I can request them to expedite the process?
Regards
Jedi001

I have shown 2800 + 1600 + 1600 = 6000 pounds just to be on the safe side...

Hi jedi001,
I am in the HSMP visa (tier 1) in the UK. i have got engaged recently and my marriage is in Jan 2010. I want to bring my fiance along with me after marriage. Since you have applied recently from the UK could you please tell the procedure. it would be very helpfull to me as i am bit confused.
1. do i need to take a house on my own (am living in shared accomodation - own room in a 4 bedroom house) - if so by when shoud i move - is it 3 months before marriage or it can be 1 month before marriage
2. how much shd be the bank balance?
3. what documents i need to show to embassy

- safe side take 3 months before and keep agrement and all utility bill on your name
2. how much shd be the bank balance?
- £ 800 + £1600 = £2400 for 3 months
3. what documents i need to show to embassy
- your pay slips
- employer letter
- bank statements
- wedding photos
- wedding card
- marriage certificate
- flat agrement and utility bills

If you have been in the UK for more than 12 months then you only need to show £533 instead of £1600 for each dependent. Also, it is not mandatory to show an extra £800 as maintenance funds for yourself but people, including myself, do it to be on the safe side.

Thanks to jedi001 and crowbar6.
i have been in the uk more than 12 months and i have my visa until 2012. So i presume it would be enough if i show £533 or at the max £800 + £533 = £1333.
1. Does my fiance in the mean time need to show her bank balance or not ?
2. does she need any documents from her side ?
3. the marriage certificate will have a different surname (my name after marriage) than her passport - will that be aproblem ?
4. regarding the accomodation, it would very expensive if i move to a single bedroom house (nearly around £800 atleast) and i dont need it before marriage - i can save some money by living in a shared house. so will this really be a problem if i move to the new house a month before marriage or can i take a post dated agreement saying after marriage i can move to the new house?
please help? also let me know any other points if i have forgotton please?
Thanks
