applying for my tier1 extension in person at Corydon on 7th

Post by shinetk9 » Thu Oct 01, 2009 10:47 am

Hi all

I am applying for my tier1 extension in person at Corydon on 7th Oct. I have some doubts in filling the application.

D) Immigration History

D2) where did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before travelling to the United
Kingdom?

D3) What date was the entry clearance or visa issued?

Should I give details of the first UK visa stamped on my passport (in my case my first UK visa was business visit visa), or is it the HSMP visa stamped on my passport?

Dependent Form

H2.Has the main applicant received notification that their application for leave to remain under the Points Based System has been successful?

My dependent are applying with me, so what should be the answer for this I guess it should be NO

H4. Has the main applicant applied to have his/her application assessed in accordance with paragraphs 39-42 of the HSMP Forum Ltd. Judicial Review Policy Document?

What should be the answer for this?

Maintenance certified by the sponsor
J4. Tick to confirm that the dependant has sent:
A letter from the A-rated sponsor confirming that, where necessary, it will maintain and accommodate the dependant during his/her first month in the United Kingdom.
Should I tick this box?

help me please :?:

thanks....

Fill Question J3 and move to section K..

Those questions from J5 are for Tier4 applicants...

I came here on a business visa then converted to WP and then to HSMP,
Between WP and HSMP i had 5 months GAP (i WAS IN INDIA DURING THIS PERIOD) but WP visa was valid till I got my HSMP visa stamped.

This refers to HSMP Judicial Review... If your HSMP was granted under the JR then answer Yes else No.

Is it possible to convert business visa(visit visa I assume) to WP ?

If no, if you have left country before obtaining Entry Clearance, then you should mention details or EC obtained for WP.

No, simply enter the date you got your first visa for UK.... whether Business/WP/HSMP/or any other visa... It has to be the first used to enter UK.

Visit visa is non-immigration visa. Section D deals with "Immigration History".

It is always entry clearance you first time used to enter. Remember time spend on non-immigration visa is discounted while considering your stay in UK.

I'm waiting to answer by OP about question asked, ir How does he "converted" visit visa to WP ?

I'd still advise to put details of first UK visa which I did when I applied for extension as per my solicitors advise. Your argument is logically correct as well so I rest my case.
