Are the photos taken from photo booth in UK (or any pharmacy in UK) as per requirement? What is the specification? Can you also point me to Guidance pdf that gives that specification?

Yes the photo booths found in supermarkets and stations print acceptable photos, but follow the other guidance about expressions, hair, etc.
