ILR Dates

Hello all,

I am very confused regarding the Visa issual dates and eligibility for ILR.

1. Work permit visa was issued from 30 Jan 2005 till 31st Jan 2010.
2. But, the date of Entry was 7th Feb 2005.

I guess, for applying ILR the Dates are 28 days before 7th Feb 2010.

My question is do i need to have a valid visa till 7th Feb 2010 (do i need to extend my visa now ?)

or

can i just go ahead and apply for ILR.

Please could anyone clarify.

If all other requirements for ILR has been met, then you can indeed apply for ILR around 11 January 2010 (28 days before your initial date of entry).

What is important is for the HO to receive your application with a valid visa at the date of application, it doesnt have to cover you up to 07 Feb 2010.

Just be sure that you meet all other ILR requirements in your case.
