Hello,

I have sent my Tier 1 General application on 01/08/09, after a month I have received a call from visa officer for requesting 2recent photograph on 01/09/09, sounds like positive because he told me that in my older visas I have used same photos. However after sending photographs, I haven’t received any reply from HO till the date. I called to public enquiry office and they advised me to write a litter to visa officer, which I did & again attached photographs & sent to HO on 14/09/09.

As per new rules HO customer call centre can not tell us anything before 14 weeks, I don’t know what I can do in this situation as visa officer has considered my application but no reply from HO now.

Confirmation 03/08/09
Fee deducted 03/08/09
Acknowledgement received 05/08/09
Call on Mob from Visa Officer 01/09/09
Photo sent by spcl delivery: 02/09/09 (no reply till 2 weeks)
Again Write a letter & attached 2 photograph & sent by spcl delivery 14/09/09
Waiting for reply…………..

Hi guys,
Thanks to every one.

There is time line for my Tier 1 extension(from HSMP) approval.

Application Sent : 17/08/2009
HO received Application : 18/08/2009
Fees Deducted : 18/08/2009
Confirmation Letter from HO : 20/08/2009

Visa Approved – 14/09/2009
Passport & documents Received– 15/09/2009

Total Processing Time(Working Days) : 28 days total

I would say try to send Royal mail special delivery envelope with application, so that you can get it early and don't need to wait long.

Tier-1 extension

Post by positivesolitude » Sat Sep 19, 2009 2:23 pm

Hello All
I had applied for Tier 1 extention as I was on HSMP previously.I had submited all the documents but my maintenance funds were only kept for myself since 6 months and for my dependants from 23 rd June as I wasn,t aware of the maintenance funds for dependants since the rule was pretty new.

My application was returned today stating that its invalid since the photographs weren,t right and secondly need proof for mantenance funds for three months for myself and three dependants.

Do I need to make a new application or can I resubmit the same application along with the new photographs and evidence of funds ...If I take a bank letter on the 23rd sept 09 it would be three months of evidence for all three..my visa expires on the 10t Oct and I am pretty tensed so not sure if I can get a personal appointment. Will they count my previous application date or the new one in case its delayed and the decision is made after 10th oct 09.Really tensed.Any advice welcome.Thank You

I would suggest you to fill in new application for all of you and send all the documents correctly with proper mainteannce funds and evidences..

You should send these documents atleast 2-3days before 10th october because the application shoudl reach the HO before ur current visa expiry.. even if decision takes 10weeks or 10months it is not a problem as you sent ur application in time before expiry ..

Better check ur maintenance fudns are properly qualifying the HO guidance..

P.S: it is good to post a separate thread instead of posting here as it can be lost here..

I am applying a new application with the relevant documents day after since it would be exactly three months with the required maintenance funds.actually I got a bit confused .

Mine is an extension case under tier 1 perviously a HsmP.will they hold it against me that my application was returned as invalid once.

Thanks

Invalid and rejected are completely different.. so dont worry.. this time when you send ur docs n application even if it takes few days extra. chck re-check and send the application so that u dont give any chance for rejection.. ok
