ILR which form?

Post by raghusn » Sat Oct 10, 2009 6:59 am

I will be thankful to know the type of form (SET O or SET F) I should use for my 19 year old daughter in full time education.
Many thanks

More details required.

For example,
Does she have entry clearance as your dependant?
Is she in the UK?
Do you have ILR?
If not, under what category are you applying for ILR?
Any other dependants?

I have Tier-1 visa, and the family (wife, daughter and son) are on Tier-1 dependent visa.
I will be completing 5 years of stay on 26th September 2011. The earliest I can apply is 28th Aug 2011. My daughter will be 18 then, and unless she has a ILR by 1 September, will have to pay overseas student fees.

Question is, can we apply on the same day at a PEO between 28th Aug and 1 Sept 2011?

The family arrived here on 2nd Dec 2006.

Thanks for your response.

As you know that new rules will come in to effect from June 2011. The present ILR time period will change from 5 years to 8 years. So I think you should wait till that time rather than worrying from now.

No it won't, there will not be any ILRs issued from July 2011. Instead, provisional citizenship ... full details still to follow.

Thanks for the response. I agree it is too early to plan anything, given the uncertainties.
