Citizenship for children

Post by jhbmike » Mon Oct 12, 2009 5:37 pm

Can anyone tell me how long it takes the child benefit section to send back a letter stating that you are in receipt of child benefit. It is a requirement to have this letter for the form 9 apllication if a child is not of schoolgoing age. Ive been waiting 3 weeks now for a response to my letter and havent heard anything back. I tried to phone them today but the automated service said that I was no 178 in the queue and that my call would be answered in approximatly 28 minutes. Didnt feel like hanging on.
They are pissing me off as it is the only thing holding me back sending the application.

I requested the same letter a while ago. It took about 4 weeks.
