Qualification points for VTU, Belgaum, India

Hi All,

I am a MCA(Master of Computer Applications) graduate from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka, India.

Am I eligible to select "Visvesvaraya Technological University 'Jnana Sangama', Belgaum" from point based calculator?

Thanks for your reply.

The name of the university has been slightly changed recently.
From: Visveswaraiah Technlogical University, Belgaum. (My certificate has this address)
To:Visvesvaraya Technological University 'jnan sangama', Belgaum.

"To:" name is available in PBS and i can select it, but is this OK?

If yes, which name I should fill in the application form?

I sent my extension application today. I have filled the old name as thats what appears on the certificate. But I have provided a letter from the university and also explained that in teh cover letter.

Some of my friends have done it without the letter and have got the visa.

Sorry.. username.. missed it out..

As mentioned by hsmp_1476..

if you are able to select your university, course and other details with the new Univ name.. you can claim the points..

again as mentioned.. it would be great if you can get a letter from your univesity about the name change or link or printout of the news in media or internet about the name change and put the same description of the name change in ur cover letter so that the caseworker is not confused n understands ur case..

I guess its spelling change rather than name change
However,i would request you to let me know if you managed to find any links of news on net as i too am in similar situation now

Hi All and VTU guyz,

My application has been approved and I got my tier1 visa.

I have NOT submitted any extra proof for change in University name.

Just given the "original certificate of award".

And mentioned in the covering letter about the university name changes.
