Congrats those who got the VISA Approvals and

Good luck to those who applied recently and waiting for the results..

Guys.. it would be very helpful if you also post the calls your made to HO for the status and put if there is any change in ur status..

this also gives others to know how the status is changing and how much time the HO is taking approximately like:

Awaiting Consideration
Under Consideration
Under Further Consideration etc...

Hi All,

Has anyone who applied after 28 Sept 09 got the VISA APPROVED or REJECTED?

Just to understand the timelines.

From all the posts seen, whoever applied in the week commencing 21 Sept 09 has got their response from HO last week between 12 Oct & 16 Oct.

Thanks for all your replies.

Hi Ramesh,

The last time I called they told me you cannot call for status before 14 weeks, and that the current typical processing time is up on the site.

I am awaiting my reference number, can someone please clarify if this will change once I get my reference number.

Also has someone been able to find out from them, if a reference number has been issued?

Well I am not very hopeful on any of the above, but does not hurt to request members to share their experiences.

Regards

Hi Inukonhsmp..

its unfortunate that the HO changed the time frame to call for status from 6weeks to 14weeks but as i observed once you apply and if u case is staright forward.. you will get ur approval or result in 6-7weeks time.. so as uapplied on 8th oct.. you shd not worry till 20th -26th Nov.. except for watching the waiting time the weblink..

thanks for ur inputs.. goodluck

Hi,

I think current processing time is about 14-20 working days for normal cases.
If you sent the docs on 8th Oct, you will get probably after 28th Oct any date.
Good luck!.

Dear all,
I have received my HSMP Extension under Tier 1 general :D

Here are my timelines for your reference:

Applied from: UK
Points claimed : 110 (90 + 20)
Application sent : 22nd September (sent via UPS)
Application received in HO: 23rd September
Payment deducted : 24th September
Reference letter : 25th September
Visa stamped : October 20th
Documents received : October 21st (by recorded delivery)
Current Expiry : Jan 2013

Total processing time : 22 working days (4 weeks)

Some comments:
I decided to send my application by courier because of the Royal Mail strikes, I just feel safer with this option.
I didn’t send the self-address envelope, I felt a bit uneasy but the documents are sent by recorded delivery and they fortunately arrived.
I didn’t give any reason to apply earlier (my visa expired next Jan)

Thanks to this forum I was able to apply years ago to my HSMP and now to renew it without problems, I had the same doubts as everyone else and reading other’s experience is reassuring.

THANK YOU all and best of luck to those still waiting.

Wasa...

Only very few applicants are lucky enough to get in 14-20days as mentioend by you..

i just dont want all the applicants expecting their results in these 2-3weeks and start worrying about it..

as observed most commonly.. approvals are sent in 6-8weeks period mostly..

Hi Guys

Here is the timelines for my visa....

Status Switch: WP/HSMP to Tier1(G)
Points claimed : 115
Application sent : 28 Sept by recorded delivery
Payment deducted : 29 Sept
Reference letter : 30 Sept
Visa stamped : 19 Oct
Documents received : 21 Oct by recorded delivery
Visa Valid till : Oct 2012

I had applied in Aug 09 only to be returned by the HO since my photos were old (my fault).
I would recommend whoever is applying to carefully read all the Guidence notes before applying.
The waiting time in the UKBA website gives an indication of the timelines as well...not when you will get the visa but when ur application will be looked into.

All the best for those who are applying and thank you for all those in the forum who is helping each other out...its brilliant!!!
thank you guys...

Visa stamped : October 20th
Total processing time : 22 working days (4 weeks)
Looks like around 27 days to me:).
I didn’t send the self-address envelope, I felt a bit uneasy but the documents are sent by recorded delivery and they fortunately arrived.
I didn’t give any reason to apply earlier (my visa expired next Jan)
Good one mate, you were really fortunate with the recorded delivery in this turbulent period for the post. Also the early extension worked for you, bravo!
