Accomodation proof for EC

Post by kuog » Mon May 10, 2004 5:53 pm

Thank you chess

My friend sent me a letter offering accomodation and a utility bill as a proof of his residence. Is it sufficient or do I have to ask my friend to send me his mortagage papers in case of Own home or Tenancy agreement in case of rented accomodation? I have sufficient funds ~10K GBP to show.

Tennancy agreement or mortgage deeds/mortgage statement will be beneficial...

but your 10K GBP seems to be sufficient as well

Good luck

Thanks chess.

I cannot get any supporting documents for accomodation letter.(mortgage papers/deed).

Could you please let me know in a scenario where there is no friend in UK to offer accomodation.
What kind of accomodation proof needs to be furnished for EC of HSMP.

thanks

In EC form, there a column that asks' How long do you intend to stay, what should i write? one year or permanent?

Initially 12 months in accordance with HSMP rules

Anyhow, have you had the approval letter yet - or do you keep hanging around the door waiting for the DHL man to arrive with the parcel 8)

Dont give up - it will be fine at the end of the day. You will look back in a years time and think/say " What was all that fuss about?"

Have you got a close friend/relative in the UK where the case worker may post your results? I am assuming that this is still allowed..

Enjoy the sunshine - The weather this end has been fantastic recently 8)

Your freind should phone first - HSMP (Sheffield) dont entertain personal callers to their offices!!

Your friend should phone them first - alternatively you could fone/e-mail HSMP and give them the address of you friend - where they can post the letters and other documents..

All the best

The HSMP team can/will send supporting documents to a friend based on a request by you. However they will NOT send their decision letter to a friend - this must always be sent to you directly or your representative who must be registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner or is otherwise exempt . This is in accordance with personal notification of an immigration decision in line with the immigration acts and rules.

Papafaith,

So it appears your friend will NOT be able get the decision letter

So I suppose we are back to square 1, DHL or FEDEX....

All that failing - then I am afraid, you will have to resort to Naija postal services and pray/hope for the best

Good Luck

Kaya, Chess, just got intouch with case worker, she says DHL came to her today but wanted her to sign the away bill, and she told them she could not because of Home office policy and insisted she's been sending HSMP docs to Africa without signing. DHL agent went back to head office to recieve autorization to pick up without the signature. Caseworker waiting.

1. Booming China messing up normal supply/demand fundamentals
2. Low US oil stocks - refineries at full capacity coupled with start of US driving season.
3. Middle East tensions and OPEC quota uncertainty
4. Funds speculating big time.

Oh to be long on the oil market - sentiment is that crude will be $35+ till December 04. I suppose for Nigeria this coupled with government commitment to cut back fuel subsidies will make it interesting though now election out of the way not a vote loser. Out of interest what's with the sat link on your rig?
