Registering Children as British - What section?

Hi,

I would like to apply for British Citizenship for both of my children. I briefly explain my situation and followed by my query.

I have become naturalised British Citizen on October' 2008 and my wife is currently Indian national having "Indefinite leave to remain in the UK".

I have 2 children both were born abroad(India) and they are currently Indian national having "Indefinite leave to remain in the UK".

At the time, when the children were born, I was an Indian national having "Indefinite leave to remain in the UK".

Below are the details about our family.

Mother
Nationality: Indian
Place of Birth: India
Current Immigration status : Indefinite leave to remain in the UK
ILR obtained- August 2005

Age : 6
Nationality: Indian
Current Immigration status : Indefinite leave to remain in the UK
ILR obtained- August 2005

Children 2
Place of Birth: India
Age: 20 MONTHS
Nationality: Indian
Current Immigration status : Indefinite leave to remain in the UK
ILR obtained- April 2008

Could you please tell me under what section (section 3(1) ? ), I can register my children as British? And I would like to Inform that my wife is NOT applying for British Citizen along with my children.

Are the children living in the UK?

JAJ is 100% right . Section 3(1)
They were born in India and therefore have to be naturalised not have entitlement so you as a naturalised citizen would be apply to get your children who are under 18 and not born to british parent(as at the time of their birth neither you nor your wife was British nor had ILR)registered and naturalised as British Citizens.

Your wife should also apply before the prices increase when the consultation end as this may go through quite quickly.

Yes, the children are living in the UK with us.

I thought it is section 3(1) but I would like to get it confirmed.
I am applying thorugh NCS on next Tuesday. I will update the status after that.

Today I have received the Registration Cirtificates from Home Office for both the Kids.
