if both parents are naturalised and the child is born outside ireland, the child's birth has to be registered in the foreign birth register at the nearest irish embassy. then the child can apply for the irish passport, no naturalisation needed. What happen if you both husband and wife have irish naturalisation and your kid born outside ireland? wil lthey get naturalisation ....?
The grandchildren in their turn can acquire irish citizenship if they are registered in the foreign births register as well. So the citizenship route is kept alive.if both parents are naturalised and the child is born outside ireland, the child's birth has to be registered in the foreign birth register at the nearest irish embassy. then the child can apply for the irish passport, no naturalisation needed.
but in that case i think, that your grandchildren will not get irish nationality if born outside of ireland. but i guess it's too early to think about that.
