Benefits

Post by RagsKasthuri » Tue Oct 20, 2009 10:13 pm

Hi

I know that if I am made redundant, till the time I get a new job, I can apply for:

- Employment seeking benefits

Can someone guide me if I am able to claim any benefits for my housing and living?

It would help if someone can guide me around how to sign up to these benefits.

Thanks
Rags

Housing and council tax benefits yes, go down to your local council and enquire.

There are no 'living' benefits.

Incidentally, in most of the enlightened Northern EU states unemployment bens are 80% of ur last salary (capped for high earners) and pension the same, who wants to live in UK on 60 quid a week?

U get nowt off the state here.
