This should give u someidea...

This page gives details of the processing time for applications made under Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system.

During the week commencing 19 October 2009, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 30 September 2009. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

Please be aware that the customer contact centre is currently experiencing very high call demand and therefore you may experience difficulties in contacting us. We apologise for this and for any inconvenience it may cause you.

Unfortunately, the HO is providing application status on call only after 14weeks.. it used to be 6weeks earlier..

you can give a try calling them.. hope u might be lucky to get some status..

have you tried calling them. There are other people here who says that they dont tell you anything before 14 weeks but there is no harm in trying.

Some people also put in request for urgency. You can try that using some evidence like wedding invitation card etc.

Maybe more experienced members can say something more

Imran..

You are right.. there is no harm in giving them a call and try his luck..

But for the Urgent treatment process.. there are few rules:

1. Send in your UT atleast 2-3weeks before you require the passport..
2. If the HO can not decide on ur application by that time they will just withdraw n send u back ur passport without deciding it.. so..
3. You always need to put in cover letter that if they are not able to decide in the UT time.. please do not withdraw the applcation and complete the process..

now a days even HO became strict on UT..

This is just for general info

For waiting track

Post by velasco_elena » Thu Oct 22, 2009 12:02 pm

I found this website useful to keep my nerves under control:

www.spammer.com/uk-immigration-trackers

You realise that there is people that have waited much longer and still got it approved.

Wish you all the best and loads of patience.
