Company reference letter in lieu of salary slips - HSMP extn

Post by hsmp12345 » Wed Oct 21, 2009 8:20 pm

Hi all,

I would be applying for my HSMP--> Tier1 visa extn. in next few days. I am working as a contractor through an umbrella company. I receive my payslips online via email. Unfortunately, my company doesn't have company seal/stamp; hence am planning to request for reference letter (alternative to salary slips) on company letterhead. Can members please review the letter once before I can request my company reg. the same.

Any suggestions/comments are most welcome.

Execellent thanks Sushil, Ramesh,

If I include column "Date Credited" in my reference letter, I assume I would need to mention date when salary got credited into my bank a/c.

As I get paid by BACS, it usually does take couple of days to get my salary to show up into my bank a/c. Not sure if my company will agree to include date when it would appear in bank statement rather than date when they (company) had setup the BACS transfer.

Shall I exclude this column to avoid any confusion ? Any suggestions ?

Ramesh as per the format on forum i have

Salary Month ---> Gross Salary ---> Net Salary ---> Date Credited on my employee letter...

would this be okay ? any one successful using this letter style should post here

is it necessary to include dates as 1st oct-31 oct etc instead of saying the month oct,2009 straight under the column......since we are paid for the entire month n not wid odd dates - salary is for the entire month i guess..

Thanks.!

Hi mno2uk,

I would be applying for extn early next week (in-person appointment) and would be making use of this format reference letter for my latest employment. I will surely update everyone after my experience.

I would assume that Oct'2009 should be fine; though my letter also contained exact earnings period (1st May'2009 till 30th Sep'2009) for which I am claiming the points.

Cheers,
