Payslip and Bank Statements for Extension - Clarification

Post by cpnk_2000 » Sun Oct 25, 2009 12:13 pm

Dear Members,

I have a query regarding my Payslip and the amount credited in Bank. I am a IT contractor and I am currently plan to extent my HSMP visa to the next term am I am planning to apply before November end.

For the Earnings calculation I am getting eligibility if I add all the payslips for the period September 2008 (1st Month) to November 2009 (15th Month).

For my initial payslip the Payroll Date given in my payslip is "5 September 2008" but the payment was made one month earlier on "08 August 2008" - strangely it worked like that in my initial contract ! .....

My doubt is whether can I show this payslip "5 September 2008" (as the first payslip) and the corresponding bank statement which will have the net amount credited one month earlier on "08 August 2008" for the earnings calculation. Is it accepted or not.

Will a letter from my company confirming that the payment is indeed for the month of September do help ?

Kindly let me know your thoughts in this since this is one of the key criteria upon which I can proceed on my extension.

Kind Regards,
Nanda.

.
1.You can use only 12 consecutive months in the last 15months.. you can not use all the 15months

2. Yes, a letter would make the claim stronger

Hi,

I am currently on HSMP and applying for extension under Tier-1. For earnings points, I want to claim for earnings in period 01-Oct-2008 to 30-Sep-2009

My salary is credited in the next month, say, salary for Oct-2008 is credited on 12-Nov-2008, salary for Nov-2008 is credited on 10-Dec-2008.. and so on..
So, salary for Sep-2009 is credited in my account in month of Oct-2009

Should I mention the period of earnings as 01-Oct-2008 to 30-Sep-2009. Does it look fine if the salary for Sep-2009 falls in Oct-2009?

Regards,
Kishore

Kishore:

It is fine and in most cases many are in the same situation as you are:

You just need to follow the guidances of using 12consecutive months in the last 15months..

And here you are good to go..

A couple of doubts

Post by cpnk_2000 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 6:34 pm

Hi Ramesh,

I have a couple of doubts..hope it will be useful for others as well......

1. Regarding 12 consecutive months - Does it means 12 continuous months or any 12 months in the 15 month period.

In my case I have payslips for Sep 2008, October 2008, November 2008, December 2008, Jan 2008, August 2009, Sep 2009, October 2009, November 2009. Is it a valid sequence.

2. Regarding my payslips for the first payslip the 'Payroll date' is mentioned as 5 SEP 2008 and Pay Period is mentioned as '19 JULY 2008' - How this will be treated whether it will be treated as a September 08 payslip or July 08 Payslip.

Kindly Clarify.

Many Thanks
Nanda.

You have to use 12 consecutive months that is contineous months in the last 15months.. but in the 12 consecutive months say Jan 09 - Dec 09, you can use only one or all payslips that is not a problem as long as you get the required earnings poitns..

so for your Question.. if you use from Sep 2008 - you can use pay periods till Aug 2009 not later than that..
2. Regarding my payslips for the first payslip the 'Payroll date' is mentioned as 5 SEP 2008 and Pay Period is mentioned as '19 JULY 2008' - How this will be treated whether it will be treated as a September 08 payslip or July 08 Payslip.
They count the payslips based on the PAY PERIOD= The period (month)for which you WORKED and got PAID not when it is paid..

Seniors please correct me if i am wrong...
