Normal extension period for HSMP Tier-1 (General) visa

Post by 315cool » Sun Oct 25, 2009 6:02 pm

Hi folks,

Upon completion of initial 3-year term, what's the normal extension period for HSMP Tier-1 (General) visa ?

While browsing through various posts, the period was noted to be 2 or 3 years.

Is there a fixed or typical extension term of 2 or 3 years ?

Cheers,

Cheers,

2 years for those currently with Tier-1 and 3 years for those currently with leave to remain under HSMP.

Normal extension period for HSMP Tier-1 (General) visa Rep

Post by 315cool » Mon Oct 26, 2009 7:48 pm

Thanks indeed crowbar6 for your prompt response.

Apologies for repeating the query, as the definition was not understood.

The initial HSMP Tier-1 (General) visa has been issued for 3 years.

At the end of first 3-year term, the application made for visa extension - should it be called "Leave to remain"? or should it be called "Tier-1" ?

Cheers,

If someone has leave to remain under HSMP, he/she will get 3 years of Tier 1 extenstion.

If someone has leave to remain under Tier 1, he/she will get 2 years of of Tier 1 extension.
