Hi,

Can someone share the timeline for the dependent of Tier 1 Visa?

My timelines are as:

Applied for two dependents

From : Mumbai VFS.
Applied on : 01-Oct-2009
Current Status: Forwarded to british high....

Documents Attached:
1. Passport
2. Marriage Certificate
3. Birth Certificate (Son)
4. Statement showing 500,000 clear funds for last 3 months in two indian bank accounts
5. UK - Offer letter + Salary slip for the first month + Reference Letter from the company.
6. Sponsor Letter

Is there anyone else who have applied for dependents from India. And waiting for dependent Visa.

Hey

I have just recieved an SMS from VFS that my "processed Visa application ref no . XXXXXXXXXXX couried to you via Blue Dart on 15/010/2009"

Does it ( processed) mean it has got approved???

I am not able to track on the VFS website of my application.

Please guide.

I tried with the appln no given in SMS and my date of birth.

thanks,
Batra

Our HSMP and dependant visa extensions were approved three days ago! This is the time line for our applications.

Expiry before application: January 05 2010
Points claimed: 100 (80 + 20)
Application sent: September 21 (by Special Deliveryâ„¢ Next Day)
Application delivered: September 22
Payment deducted: September 24
Reference letter: Not received
Additional documentation sent: September 29
Additional documentation delivered: September 30
Visa stamped: October 08
Documents received: October 12 (by Recorded Delivery)

The additional documentation was due to us having misinterpreted a question.

have you tried calling them. There are other people here who says that they dont tell you anything before 14 weeks but there is no harm in trying.

Some people also put in request for urgency. You can try that using some evidence like wedding invitation card etc.

Maybe more experienced members can say something more

Bit late to post but for the sake of data point:

Type of application: In-country, HSMP to Tier 1 General
Application sent: 21-Sep (Royal Mail Special Delivery, to Durham)
Application received and payment deducted: 22-Sep
Confirmation letter received: Within 2-3 days
Visa stamped: 12-Oct (from Sheffield, interestingly)
Visa and documents received by recorded delivery: 14-Oct (had not sent pre-paid Special Delivery envelope, though with the postal strikes I should in hindsight have included one)

Turnaround time: 15 business days. Pretty impressive, I must add. But for £820, I didn't expect anything less.

WP -> Tier 1 Approved!

Post by clin10 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 1:22 pm

Hi,

By the Grace of God and thanks to the guidance received from this forum I was able to switch from WP to Tier 1 (General) for myself, and Tier 1 (General) Dependants for my family. I got my documents today by recorded delivery (forgot to include Special Delivery envelope). Time lines are as follows :

Application type : In country (Within UK)
Points claimed : 105 (85 + 20)
Application sent : Oct 2nd (by next day delivery to Durham)
Payment deducted : Oct 5th
Reference letter : received after 3 days
Visa stamped : Oct 21st
Documents received : Oct 24th( by recorded delivery from Sheffield)
Total turnaround time : 23 days (16/17 Working days)

Again many thanks for all the help and support that is made available on this forum.

Thanks,
Clint
