Tier 1 (General) Approved, applied from VFS Bangalore

Post by dx_sadiq » Thu Oct 29, 2009 8:17 am

Hello Friends.

Today I collected my passport and my visa is approved.

Below are the time lines

Applied on 13th Oct 2009

SMS received same day stating my application is forwarded to BHC.

Today i.e. 29th Oct 2009 got a SMS to collect my passport and my Visa is approved.
Total time taken 16 days.

This forum is awesome. I actually wanted go for a consultant, but later changed my mind after going through this.

Many thanks to all the seniors who quickly replied to my queries.

Congrats
Can you please clarify, how you submitted the bank statement.
Did you afterall get a letter from ICICI or just sent a online statement from the plain paper and stamped with other requirements.

Congrats Sadiq,

I applied for my initial hsmp though an agency, and later came to know that everything is available on this forum.

All you need is a little time.

Good that you realised this in time.

Regards

Hi letmec2006,
good question ! i had to struggle a lot to get my statements on the ICICI bank letter head but unfortunately they refused, so i personally went to my ICICI bank branch and got my statemts on a bank stationary with ICICI bank logo, seal and signature on a dot matrix printer and requested them to change the printer ribbon so that it appears to be clear.

and for funds maintainance i requested for a letter stating my 3 months bank balance and min balance during that period.

Hi Sadiq
I know you have got ur things with name.
But wondered is the online printout with bank stamp on it is not enough for entry clearance, because I know its enough for incountry applicants.

Yes this is acceptable, read this

What the bank statements must show

Bank statements you send must be on official bank stationery, and must show each of the payments that you are claiming. If you wish to send electronic bank statements from an online account you should also send a supporting letter from the bank on company headed paper confirming that the documents are authentic. Alternatively, electronic bank statements with the official stamp of the bank that issued the statements will be accepted. The stamp must appear on every page of the statement.
