self employed issue

I have been recently doing some self employment work, my accountant registered me as self employee last week. I got all the paperwork and everything else ready to apply for Tier1-General.

now my question is do i need to wait for the self employed registration letter from HMRC as it takes 45 days to get a letter from them. Is this true or can I apply for Tier1 tomorrow

THanks Mvet. I got one more doubt, I get paid from a company whom i do self employment work for but their company name on bank statement is not proper I mean it misses three aplhabets. what can I do for this?
