Further confusion re proof of marriage

Post by 1400 Years » Tue Nov 03, 2009 6:44 am

Already in the UK with wife and kids on the HSMP.

Need to apply for extension / further leave to remain under the Tier 1 (G).

Do I still need to show a marriage certificate as proof of marriage??

If I sent the originally sent notarised document, would it work?

Or would they want something re-verified within the last month.

Help! Deadline approaching!

Yes, if you decide to send it you need to send the original marriage certificate. If you look at guidance notes -- You are not required to submit the documents which you have already submitted during intiial approval (marriage certificate is also one of them? along with Degree) but then you have to clearly mention the same in your cover letter.

Notarised copy will not work. All documents should be original.
