I got the Irish citizenship by Naturalisation.
I'm sure that would be fine. Thinking practically, if you're sending a Certificate of Naturalisation, which is, of course, absolute affirmation that you are an Irish citizen, I cannot see how an application for an Irish passport can be reasonably denied - with or without a birth cert.mbxmbx wrote:Hi,
I got the Irish citizenship by Naturalisation. However, I don’t have a long form date of birth certificate. A date of birth certificate needs to be submitted with the passport application.
Will it be ok if I submit an Affidavit ? Can anyone please advise me ?

Congratulations.
For the information of those still waiting, do you mind telling us:
When did you apply?
When did they ask for more documents?
When did you get approval?
When did you get the certificate?
