ILR 4-5 case when to apply

Post by hsmpholder » Thu Nov 05, 2009 11:12 pm

Hi,
I've got my HSMP valid from 01.01.2006. The date of entry was 21.01.2006. I am going to book face to face appointment at Croydon as my 4 years period is getting close. Just wondering when do I need to apply?
The guide says 4 weeks in advance, just not sure if it is starting from the date of the visa or the date of first entry in the UK?
Thanks in advance

Your time clock for ILR starts from the day when you enter UK not when you got visa

you will be able to apply 28 days before the 21 of january. if you are applying under the HSMP JR rules thenthis would be 28 days before 21.01.2010 if not then it would be 28 days before 21.01.2011

On the application form asks date of first entry into UK

thank you for your help. I am on JR 4 years.

aslo I heard that letter from employer stayting my position details and salary is useful. the leaflet and form from HO does not have this form among the required list of documents. Do I need to get one for myself and one for my wife just in case?

A Letter from your employer just stating that you worked with them for the past 4 years(not necessary to put exact date) and that your employment is continuing and your salary
