Can PF be included in Past Earnings?

Post by uk.workpermit123 » Mon Nov 09, 2009 5:47 pm

Hi,

First of all, thanks a lot for all the answers for all my previous queries.
I have one more Query:

Can the PF (Provident Fund) accumulated for past 12 months be shown in Past Earnings? Confusion arised because this is the part of CTC but it is kept with employer and paid only at the time of separation or retirement.
So, this is the part of earning. Will this be considered as part of past earnings? Please help.

Also, in case this can be shown as past earnings, what are the DOCUMENT(s) to be produced in support of it (Please note Bank Statement for this is not possible as this has not been paid yet. Amount accumulated in 12 months can be seen from the difference in amount from PF Statement.)? Please help.

Thanks in advance,
AKS

Hi,
When you claim for Previous Earnings, its the Gross pay per month that you always consider. So, PF can be included and should not be a problem. Your gross and net salary is going to be present in your payslip and as long as net salary in your payslip matches with the entry in the bank statement, it should be perfectly fine.

Your GROSS Salary should be used to calculate ur earnings points.. and if ur PF amount is included in ur gross you are fine.. no seperate document is required to be attached..

as UKjobaspirer mentioned.. make sure ur NET amoutn matches exactly with the NET deposited in ur bank..

Pleaes read the HO GUIDANCE Page 22 of 44 Paragraph 117-122. for more details of what can be and can not be included.. in earnings..
