Need suggestions for dependants maintainance funds

Post by tvomp2 » Fri Sep 25, 2009 6:59 am

Posted: Fri Sep 25, 2009 5:49 am Post subject: Joint Account of my wife with her mother
Dear Members,
My case for Tier 1 is gone for Administrative Review as the bank statements submitted by me were electronic duly stamped without bearing logo. I submitted proofs of Rs. 6,70,000 for main applicant. In the other account maintained at HSBC (India) I submitted a joint statement of Time deposit a/c no. 052 and current account 006. The time deposit had a fixed amount of 3 lacs which ECO overlooked and just saw only 006 and commented on that. Any way I hope to get it through.
Now I want the senior members to suggest that my wife has FDR in the joint name of her as well as her mother. Can that be considered for maintenance funds?
Also Do i need to send the FDR or a letter from the bank manager stating that she has adequate funds for the last one year or so ?
Also If I get a letter from the bank that my wife has been sanctioned a loan amount of say Rs. 5 lacs which she can use at any time, will it work
Thanks,
TVOMP2

Hi,

Can someone share the timeline for the dependent of Tier 1 Visa?

My timelines are as:

Applied for two dependents

From : Mumbai VFS.
Applied on : 01-Oct-2009
Current Status: Forwarded to british high....

Documents Attached:
1. Passport
2. Marriage Certificate
3. Birth Certificate (Son)
4. Statement showing 500,000 clear funds for last 3 months in two indian bank accounts
5. UK - Offer letter + Salary slip for the first month + Reference Letter from the company.
6. Sponsor Letter
7. Lease agreement starting from 15-Oct-2009.

Is there anyone else who have applied for dependents from India. And waiting for dependent Visa.

Post by clin10 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 1:23 pm

Hi,

By the Grace of God and thanks to the guidance received from this forum I was able to switch from WP to Tier 1 (General) for myself, and Tier 1 (General) Dependants for my family. I got my documents today by recorded delivery (forgot to include Special Delivery envelope). Time lines are as follows :

Application type : In country (Within UK)
Points claimed : 105 (85 + 20)
Application sent : Oct 2nd (by next day delivery to Durham)
Payment deducted : Oct 5th
Reference letter : received after 3 days
Visa stamped : Oct 21st
Documents received : Oct 24th( by recorded delivery from Sheffield)
Total turnaround time : 23 days (16/17 Working days)

Again many thanks for all the help and support that is made available on this forum.

Thanks,
Clint

Received visa

Post by migun » Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:34 pm

Many thanks to the forum and to all who has provided me with valuabe advise
My initial appln was sent back to me due to old photograph. My money got refunded in about 8 days. I reapplied on 10 Sep for me and my family while in UK. I received today all the doc and passport stamped.
Though I could see the visa is stamped dated 1st Oct but I received it only today(29th Oct) which is bit surprising. Again I enclosed a special delivery envelope but the post came thru the ones generally sent by HO and not the special delivery envelope.

Application type : In country (Within UK)
Points claimed : 35( master degree)+35(previous earning)+5(uk exp)=75
( HO awarded me with 40 points modifying my claim of 35 in earning)
Application sent : 10Sep (by next day delivery to Durham)
Payment deducted : 11 sep
Reference letter : received after 2 days
Visa stamped : Oct 1st
Documents received : 29th Oct ( by recorded delivery from Sheffield)
Total turnaround time : 6 weeks

Thanks to all again!!!

Post by guruasis12345 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 11:28 pm

I got my Tier 1 General visa in just 5 working days. My application was very straight-forward. Details are as under:
VFS Centre: Pune
Applied: 22/10/09 11am
Method of payment: D.D. (Rs. 54000 fees + 200 courier + 20 SMS service)
Visa stamping date: 26/10/09
SMS received saying "Visa Processed and couriered": 27/10/09 4.55pm
Courier received: 28/10/09 2pm
Valid till: 26/10/12 (I put my travel date in the form as 20/11/09 but they started the visa well-ahead)
Forms used:
1)Tier 1: Personal Details (Old Version i.e. VAF9 MAR 2009)
2)APPENDIX 1: SELF- ASSESSMENT (New Version i.e. VAF9 OCT 2009)
Hence, they are still accepting old forms for 'Personal Details' as I applied on 22nd and the ruling to use old-forms is only uptil 21st
And how can I forget:

I got my T1 through WHITE ROSE VISAS based at Sheffield. Quick and great job! Everything was done in a span of just 3 days! I met them on tuesday and on thursday, passports were in hand with the T1 visas.

I would recommend them highly.

regards,
