I have a question on behalf of my brother and his wife

Brother - Italian Citizen and the got British citizenship in september 09

Wife - came on a 6 months visa and then was granted 5 years as she got married to my brother

she got given the 5 years visa just before my brother became a british citizen, can she apply for Indefinate leave any earlier due to the change of circumctences? or she have to wait until the 5 years are finished?

She has to wait till the 5 years are over to acquire permanent residence. However, she can still apply for italian citizenship after 3 years of marriage.
