TB Certificate

Post by ah1717 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 12:14 pm

Hi,

Can somebody please clarify that once you are given Entry Clearance
and you collect your passport,

if your TB Certificate is expired, do you need to renew it before travel
to the UK?

Thanks,

Hey guys, do all non-british nationals need to get TB certificates? or just selected countries? and do these need to be supplied with ALL visa applications or just selected ones?

You only need a valid TB certificate at the time of application or before visa is stamped in your passport.

You need to bring the certificate with you on arrival at a UK airport ( even though it may be expired)

MED2.1 Countries where TB testing programme operates:

Centres have been established to carry out the screening process in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ghana, Kenya, Pakistan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Thailand.

In addition to their own visa applicants, these centres also carry out tests on applicants from Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, Togo, Eritrea, Somalia, and Laos. Applicants from the first four of these countries are screened in Ghana, those from Eritrea and Somalia in Kenya, and those from Laos in Thailand.
