HSMP extension myself + dependent application queries

Post by marahman3001 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 5:02 pm

I am on HSMP and living in UK. I am applying for extension. At the same time I am applying for dependent (for wife who is in India).

1. Do I need to apply both at a time from UK or separately from UK and India.

2. Wife's passport is in India with her. If applying from UK, do I need to get the passport from there and send the passport along with the applications from here?

3. I am living with my friends (room sharing) house since 3 years not paying council tax. My friend is full time student so no council tax so far. My name appears on Gas & Electricity Bills I pay them sometimes from my cards and sometimes part of it I pay from my card. NOC from friend and landlord is enough?

You can do one of these if ur current expiry is long way to go min 6months from now:

Apply dependent visa for ur wife from here get her to UK n apply for extension for both at a time.. - Not a good idea money n time point of view..

So best thing is first get ur visa extension quickly; then apply fresh for ur wife from indua..

utility bill + Noc n letter from landlord is good docs to support;

Get ur extension done first then apply for ur wife based on ur new visa.. that is the best based on time it takes..

You can not apply for ur wife when she is in india... Is she already on ur dependent visa or apply for 1st time for her??
