ah1717-
I called Gerry's on 14/11 (fri) , collection time is only:

2 - 5 mon thurs
2 - 4 friday

But Iv seen this on Gerrys website - Opening hours

Submission: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:00
Collection: You will be contacted by Gerry's International directly to arrange collection of your passport.

Does that mean as soon as youve recieved call, you can goanytime ?

ah1717- Have you actually been to collect passport ?? because now I think you can go when ever passport is ready for collection...

Can anyone who has been lately to collect passport also please advise...

Thanks

Hi,
I called today and they told me to wait for the call. But I said, no I want to collect ASAP. They said OK, come on the days and times I mentioned earlier. I don't think waiting for the call is important, if your application
is returned just go and get it! You need your original reciept and also
some form of ID. Gerry's told me the times.

Hi Batley Khan!!!
Could you please tell me, what questions the Immigration Officers normally ask to the newcomers upon their arrival on the airport before clearance, as my wife, she is newcomer and travel to the UK in 2 - 3 weeks time. I just want to tell her ,that she must aware of these, you know what i am saying..........
Please Very Happy
It all depends on the IO on duty.Sometime nothing at all, but sometime they would ask your wife about you, what your name is,where you live (address/citys name) who you live with ,what work you do.

Make sure your wife has your name ,address and mobilephone number just in case they wanr to speak to you,

Finally make sure you go to the airport to meet her on arrival.

She will need her passport, TB certificate and that card they give you on the plane to complete if you are a first time arrivers to this country.

Hope this helps.

My wife in Pakistan had her Swine flu Vaccaction done on Friday 13 Novemeber 2009, so my advice to all would be if your wifes/husbands can get it done while in Pakistan before they plan to travel to the UK it will be good and it will keep them safe over the winter.

Hi All,

With the grace of Allah SWT, my wife has got her visa today. I only spoke to her briefly so do not have the full details. She was not questioned or advised about her expired TB test.

Inshallah i will post further details later today.
And i pray that all people waiting also get good news.

D_W....inshallah Allah SWT will bring good news for you aswell
Regards,

Baz

Hi all,

Details are as follows:

Applied on: 26th June 2009
Status changed: 12th Nov 2009
Collected: 16th Nov 2009
Visa Stamped: 1st October 2009

They kept the passport for a over a month and a half, which is ridiculous, but i am happy atleast shegot the visa in the end.

Now my wife is having trouble getting through to the iom clinic for renewing her TB test. I want her to renew it as a precaution anyway.

Does anyone have the number and also openong hours for the booking line

Sahdi - inshallah it will happen, I know its hard to wait, i was feeling the same until my wifes status changed. Shouldnt be long now.
Regards,

Baz

no need to worry about expired TB tests... Got an Email back from Visa Customer Services in UK confirming this.
You only need a valid TB test to apply for a VISA - You dont need a valid TB test to gain entry to the UK - You will need to keep the TB test certicate (expired or valid) with you as the UK border staff may ask you for it...

It was mealtime during a flight on a PIA plane:

‘Would you like dinner?’ the air hostess asked me

‘What are my choices?’ I asked.

‘Yes or no,’ she replied.

lol ---- :)
