I don't get it...What are you talking about applying for naturalisation and your company sponsoring you? It's either yopu qualify for Naturalisation(which means you get British Citizenship) or you don't. No company needs to sponsor you for Citizenship. Are you getting Citizenship/Naturalisation confused with Work Permit/HSMP? Or necessity for showing continuing employment when applying for settlement also known as Indefinite Leave to Remain(ILR). Please give more details
sorry for not being clear. by sponsoring I mean picking up the bill :)

Must you use a solicitor before your company pays the bill? Anyway I think this thread is for APPLICATION SUBMISSION TIMELINE. I would suggest you open a new thread for your query.

My query is about application timeline. Do we have any indication that submitting an application via a solicitor takes longer?

I don't think this should make a difference the processing time mary vary dependent on case. Most people use NCS if they don't feel confident enough feeling out the forms themselves. Not many people use solicitors as this is costly and they mainly do this when they either find it difficult to fill the forms or they may have issues which may affect their eligibility. I suggest you open another thread as advised by troyguy21 so that people can help you with your particular query, so please do that rather than continuing to post on the timeline thread. Thanks.

that must not be a problem mate :) i have been doing overdraft for 6 months before i applied...really does't matter...
bechir wrote:the only finance issues related to the good character requirement ccj or bankrupcy even in the case of some one discharged bankrupcy is ok.
this my personal view :) but iam sure if your bank account in the red that will not make you bad character.

Sorry guys I have another question in regards to Naturalisation. If some one's bank balance goes into overdraft just a month before application and gets back to normal in couple of days then can this effect the naturalisation application?

Please answer my querry.

Many thanks.
Thanks buchir,

The bank statements are being given to show the evidence that money is beening paid to the credit card and loan companies to full fill the good character requirement.

Do you still think that would not be the problem?

* I've hit a bump in my "journey". IPS sent me a letter requesting further evidence of my previous addresses from my bank, employer, landlord, etc. I've had three different addresses in the past three years. Neither my bank nor employer cannot confirm previous addresses. Previous landlords are unlikely to be helpful. I don't recall seeing anyone else having this problem. Any advice? Curious they've already granted me citizenship but now insist on further evidence for the passport. :?:

Hi Donpetucchi,

I was in the same situation as you and was thinking about postponing my passport interview to allow for the letter to reach me but the woman on the line told me that all they need on the day is the reference number from that letter. Bringing the interview invite letter is not a requirement.
