UK Tier 1 General Visa - Time limit to enter UK

Post by manishmadhok » Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:18 am

Hello,

I have obtained Tier 1 Visa which is valid from Dec 31, 2009 to Dec 31, 2012.

1) Is there any time limit to enter UK from date the visa is valid from? Which means do I have to mandatorily enter UK in 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, etc

2) Alternatively I also have valid Visit Visa until Feb2010. Can I enter UK before Dec 31, 2009 and live there. Later on then I have to re-enter UK to validate my Tier 1 visa? Am i correct

Dears,

I am not an active participant in the forum but all the doubts I had before applying Tier-1, was able to clear each and every. Thanks a lot to one and All.

I got my visa stamped and here are the details:

Application Type: Tier-1 (General)
Nationality: Indian
Applied location: Seoul, South Korea
Application date: 12th Nov,2009
Fee deducted: I paid cash, so consider same date
Fwd to Embassy: 12th Nov
Processing started: 18th Nov
Stamping confirmation: 26th Nov
Docs collected: 27th Nov
Result: Visa stamped for 3 yrs, Feb-2010 to Feb-2013

Once again thanks a lot guys.

And by the way, is there any particular thread or forum where people share about their experiences and current situation. I know that the current market is not good, but atleast not worst. What do you say guys ?

During the week commencing 30 November 2009 we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 13 November 2009. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

Application delivered this morning.
I have used my HSBC Mastercard CC for payment, and called them to advise on the impending transaction to make sure that they would not consider it as a fraud( read similar story in this forum).

What else, fingers, arms, legs all crossed.
