Just to share my joy, I received my RC today after waiting anxiously for more that 10 months, couldn`t have waited any longer as I was desperate to celeberate EID ( our religous festival ) which is next week, with my family.

Thanx everyone for sharing info on this forum, it was great and at times the only hope, which kept my morale up and fortunately didn`t give up.

So wish you all who are waiting for RC all the best, and I`m sure you will get it soon.

SAJJ
Sajj that's brill news!!!! I'm so so so pleased for you! It well deserved!
It's so strange that when last time you've called to HO they said it's under consideration?! and here you are with you RC! Congrats!
I agree with Kuka! Even I who have heard from them that my RC was granted 2 weeks ago, am still watiting to get my passport and you got it!

Well done and go and celebrate!

If I`ve to tell you in short what HO has been telling me for the last one month, it`s that the call centre guys there at HO have got no idea what`s going on :?:

Last one month`s my CALL SUMMARRY to HO

First I was told it`s under consideration then with CW TEAM, then not assigned yet to CW TEAM, then again under consideration, then LETTER SENT.

As I was waiting for the letter, I was even thinking in my sleep about the letter, what was that letter about as I`d send all my documents, called again HO and was shocked to hear that NO LETTER has been sent and is still under cosideration. Couple of days back I was told that the decision has been made and if I don`t receive my passport and documents back in THREE WEEKS time, I can call them.

Everytime I called them it was a different story.

So guys what you think about it ? All I know right now is that I`ve forgotten everything what I went through untill yesterday, but today I`m on the seventh Sky, as I`m planning for my holidays with my family back home, even though it`s freezing over there but hopefully I`m going to cherish each and every moment I spend with them.Cant believe that I`m free from this misery and do hope INSHALLAH everyone who`s waiting for it will get soon,

WOW!!! This is really amazing! Am so happy for ya. Imagine just few
days back you were told a different story and now you got your RC.

HO's incompetency is becoming more glaring by the day.

Sajj, Wishing you a blissful holiday. Enjoy! :D

Kuka I salute you.

Nope! Nothing positive from our CWT other than the usual response.

Seemingly they are the slowest/less competent CWT in Liverpool when it comes to deciding cases.

Otherwise how would they explain the fact that I was urgently asked
to send more documents (as my case was being considered) when they are not even looking at application? :x

WOW!!! Another great News! Am happy for you, Mate.

Just few days ago you received a generic letter (ie, your case is now being allocated to CW..) from HO and now you have your RC.

Suffice to say that its a bit weird to imagine how information dissemination is handled by UKBA.

Congrats Rokodilivio!

P.S, Please do advise on your timeline history for the benefit of others. Cheers.

we did submit our application 7th january2009, got the coa 7th february 2009, we did not make any call untill after 7months. of application and i was told it has been allocated to a case worker end of august, then i keep calling every 2 weeks and it was always the same story. To my greatest surprise i was told that it was yet to be allocated to case worker at the end of october i couldnt believe it and most importantly, we were running out of time becos my wife was due for a surgery august 15 december 2009, .Then i had to cal again nov 8th and the lady was really helpful and advise i send then a fax with the evidence along. I did as i was told and also sent a copy to northwest office.
infact i dont know wat actually move then to open the file, is it the northwest, or the surgery, but i it was within 48 hrs, that the residence was issued from the date shown on my passport.
once again thanks everybody ur time will come.

I have been a regular reader of this forum for quite some time ... i just haven't posted anything in the past ... i had applied for EEA2 on 27th of Jan 09 and am still waiting like most people on this forum ... i have called them a few times and it's the same old answer, hasn't been looked into yet ... i wonder what ukba means when they say .... "we aim to be operating within our service standards from the begining of Dec 09" do they mean they would have cleared the back log by then (i seriously doubt that) or the six months period for us lot begins from Dec 09 to be resolved by May 2010 ... just wondering

phoned today to HO, yet again!

The guy've told me that our case is processing at the moment and suggested that we might receive some news whether before or after christmas, he asked us to call in month time. I bet it's another lie to keep us calling and wating our time and money. :(((

Yep Mate, I asked the same question sometime ago.

The statement by HO seems too ambiguous hence I don't believe all
the backlog will be dealt with within the next few weeks.

Its just pathetic to imagine how slow and incompetence these Guys (UKBA) are. :(

I applied in feb 2009 for EEA2 ( Civil Partnership). Even i got the same answer from the home office saying that my case is with caseworker and call back at the end of the month. So i think its a new trick from home office. In dec lots of things are coming to X-mas and New Year. Anybody with the news or update

I applied in jan 09. When i called them about a week ago, i was told that it still hasn't been allocated to the caseworker and they cannot give an exact date or time frame ... it could be that they have been told to give out the new answer from this week :)

I applied in Nov 2008 and I get exactly the same message from the HO: Nothing.
Even though my MP's Secretary has called the HO twice for us and I already put my case through to Solvit a month ago. It doesn't seem to help so far.

Came to UK in Feb 2009
Applied for residence card in Feb 2009,day after wife landed
Received COA in April 2009
Additional info required letter recieved September 2009
Total duration 7 Months.
Third parties involved None, few complaint letters via email, to liverpool and croydon.
Sending of aditional info will be on monday, will keep track of how long after that.
We requested our passports back for travel reasons(did not get to go traveling) and when we recieved them we recieved a letter stating that once our application is in processing they would require the passports back, and on that letter was a name and department adress, so thats where all our compliants went to and that person, so maybe that helped as we then had a name to send complaints to, not just any random person sitting on a desk,so the same person recieved all our complaints

They would definitaly send passports and your documents via signed/tracked for mail, the normal letters ie. aditional info they will send by normal post,

Hope we get it soon.

Recieved everything back 5minutes ago and got th RC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two months after additional info requested,

Date of Issue is 02 Nov 09 so 26 days after issueing I recieved it, bit slow in sending back the documents

Quess thats me for this site then, Thanks for everyones help,
To all thats still waiting (KUKA) and the rest hang in there
