You will need a work permit of course. And about the only way to get one will be to find a large multinational who's prepared to employ you (eg. the banks don't usually care about what nationality you are, providing you are good).

In my experience only large multinationals will consider applying for work permits for new inexperienced graduates. In education, you *may* find that schools will also be prepared to do this where they have a shortage of applicants (mostly secondary schools, in science courses) however you *will* need a PGCE to get anywhere with this. FE colleges and the like will generally not offer work permits.

By 'good' I mean that it costs employers a lot in legal fees to secure work permits, so they will only do so for exceptional candidates.

If you want to get a work permit as an inexperienced graduate then your best bet really is to identify a profession you want to work in, apply to a large company's graduate training scheme, and be very convincing in your application form and make sure you come across as an ideal candidate in the interview.

Remember that by requiring a work permit you are already significantly less attractive to employers than an EU citizen. So you'll have to be a 'perfect' candidate to get anywhere.

Murphy,

Which Universtity did you get your MBA from? If from the list of 50 top MBA's, you may be able to apply for HSMP so that should sort out your work permit dilemma and eventually your job hunting.

If you recently qualified from Scotland then you can apply to work in SCOTLAND for up to 2 years under the "Fresh Talent Scotland scheme"

Murphy, you have an MBA so its about time you used your initiative.

go and look for the rules governing "Freh Talent Scheme" scotland and decide for yourself if you qualify.

........
No. after 2 years you can transfer to HSMP or get work permit..

If you are so keen on being a student then enrol for a PhD...

onething i found with people who go via the 10 year route is that they manage to get ILR at the expense of career progresion. the choice is yours sir!

chess thanks for good advise
its true if u follow 10yrs ur career wont progress but its less risky
as compare with 2yrs fresh talent, but in real life sometime risk pay good rewards.
thanks once again

Murphy,

If you qualify for the Fresh Talent Scotland Scheme my advice would be to go for it as time spent on this scheme will count towards your 10 years, after the 2 years, you will have option of work permit (but restricted to Scottish employer), HSMP (anywhere in the UK), student visa etc. Who knows, you may also find a UK/EU spouse sometime down the line

You should try and sort out your immigration status first before going into serious job hunting. As for giving private tutorials on your student visa...hope you don't breach the conditions of your student visa as this could be an issue in your proposed 10 year application! Remember IND has access to HMRC systems!

MurphyUK, if you continue to post using block capitals your posts will get deleted. It is equivalent to shouting.

Google search? I don't know what you were searching on but I found instantly London Colleges. That appears to have links to all of London's FE colleges. Hope that helps.

.

Murphy, your questions are a bit 'frustrating' to answer

You surely studied an MBA which shopuld have equipped you with reasoning skills and ability to research stuff...

I am sure you can look for the information you require using your "initiative"...

How did you manage to study for 6 and 1/2 years in the UK ? (and you cannot find colleges where international students study!!???) - horse feathers :x
