TIMELINE AFTER APPLICATION SUBMISSION HERE, PLEASE?

Post by d_shubhangi » Sun Nov 29, 2009 3:37 pm

mularda - sorry i had not seen your recent post.
Congrats for quick approval

Is anyone here with any special case application?

I was absent from the country for many days than allowed, so submitted my application with reasons etc for my absence.
I think my application is strong with evidence/prooves
I am optimistic that it should go through :-)

Is anyone here with any special case and waiting times for such applications?

Regarding 1) Referees and Identiy 2)Passport Photograph

Post by PCB » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:00 pm

Hi,

I need advice from the friends who have already completed the citizenship Journey for the following points.

1. Referees and Identity - Can both refrerees be british national ? I know one must be a british national and other can be any national.

2. Passport photograph - I need to send one photographs right ? and is that needs to be endorsed by just " Signature and date " by one referee or both referees.

I look forward for positive inputs.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

1. Both referees can be British.
2. 1 photgraph attached to page 13 "Section 5: Referees and Identity"
The photograph does not have to be endorsed by anyone.

Do you have a copy of the guide_an.pdf, it is very useful.

Good luck...

Thanks freestuffinnit for your advice.

I checked the AN application guide, In the page 24 it says " Your applicaton must be endorsed by two referees and a recent passport size photograph "

Does this mean one photograph should be endorsed ?

Thanks,
PCB

PCB the photograph does not have to be endorsed. You only require endorsement when applying for the passport and yes both referees can be British. Best of luck.

Hi Joelondon,

Long time no see. I am glad you have got your PR sorted. I strongly believe that you can apply for your naturalisation now because you are coming through EU route. You just need to print the guidelines and make and appointment at any NCS. Also do not forget Life in UK test along with your six years P60's.

Hope it helps.

Regards
KESH

I am not a professional but I strongly believe that You can apply now. And you have do demonstrate that you have been using your treaty rights throughout your stay in the country. For further help ask Obie he is very helpfull and knows EU directive more then any one else on the forum.

Hope it helps.

That is good Shubhangi, Now wait 2 weeks from today and you will good news at your door. It seems like HO it takes one week to put applications on their system. And then charge their fee. The day money is charged all the authorities are asked to authenticate the information you have provided. (Checks sent) They recieve the results for their checks within a week and need another week for a caseworker to have look on them and make decision. So, your two weeks (approx) have gone already and another two to go.

Good luck.

-> d_shubhangi,

Well nice to hear that you received your acknowledgement. I am still waiting for it. And Best of luck for the future. I would say 2/3 more weeks as KESH mentioned in his last msg.

Keep your fingers cross all the time.

Pray for me as well.
